Maxine Minter
Australia’s first solo female GP and founder of the country’s first dedicated pre-seed fund.
Her dedication to early-stage founders comes from lived experience—she’s built and co-founded startups, invested as an angel in both Australia and the US, and launched Co Lab to give first-time founders and senior execs access to world-class coaches.
She’s studied and taught at places like Stanford, Macquarie, Oxford, and Copenhagen, but it’s her work side-by-side with founders that defines her. Maxine is known for her conviction at the earliest stage and her relentless support of the people building generational companies.

Alexey Mitko
Operator-turned-founder-turned-angel investor with a track record of building high-growth companies from the ground up.
Alexey helped scale Canva from 23 people to a global team, co-founded Eucalyptus (now 500+ people), and refined the “startup scaffolding” that lets early companies move fast without falling apart.
He’s the guy in the room, mentoring founders’ seconds-in-command to free up their time for the big bets.

Laura Nicol
Employee number one at Co Ventures and the operating co-pilot to Maxine. Laura keeps the engine room running: fund operations, platform, portfolio support, brand, and special projects.
She blends storytelling with scrappy execution, shaped by her experience scaling First Table into new markets and leading global partnerships across APAC and the US at Enablo. That mix makes her the connective tissue across founders, LPs, and VPs.
She’s also the host of Calling Operator, a podcast amplifying the real stories of startup operators. For Laura, it’s about making sure the people inside startups know they’re not building alone.
